About Martin Harris

I spent 28 years running a custom cabinet shop, and I still work wood most days now in a smaller home shop. A few years into that career I had a lung scare that turned out to be tied to fine dust exposure, the kind you cannot see and mostly do not think about until a doctor points at an X-ray. That is the reason this site exists.

I am not a lab technician and I do not pretend this is a certified test facility. I am a woodworker who got tired of guessing, and who would rather tell you a collector is mediocre with data behind it than tell you it is great because someone sent me a free unit.

What this site is not

It is not an aggregator of other people's opinions, and it is not a place where every product gets five stars. Some of these collectors are genuinely good. Some are not, and I say so.
